Amanda Xu

Co-founder & SVP

Ms. Xu has engaged in supply chain management, business integration, and government relations for more than 28 years.

She specializes in providing policy recommendations to both central and local governments in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Her work also focuses on capacity building for companies implementing CSR and ESG practices, and facilitating partnerships between Chinese and European organizations.

Amanda is recognized for designing and implementing effective programs and protocols for both domestic and international suppliers, leading to long-term compliance and capacity-building outcomes.

Before co-founding NEWAsia®, Amanda served as a Senior Project Manager at GIZ, where she managed Sino-German CSR and ESG projects and oversaw the implementation of the EU-China Environmental Governance Program. Her prior experience also includes working in CSR management roles within Chinese state-owned and multinational companies.

Amanda holds an International MBA (IMBA) jointly awarded by Sun Yat-sen University Business School and the University of Cologne. She is a certified expert trainer for the Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) Programme, an expert for the Factory Improvement Toolsets Programme, and a certified trainer for the Better Work Supervisory Skills Training program of the International Labour Organization (ILO).

She is an APSCA Certified Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA).

Michael C. Elkin

MSVP for Business Development

Mr. Elkin joined the NEWAsia Solutions Limited in March 2022.  Mr. Elkin is responsible for business development and customer relations globally to support large companies to improve the environmental and social compliance of their supply chains.

Prior to joining NEWAsia Solutions Limited, Mr. Elkin was the Chief Technical Advisor and Global Manager for the ILO’s Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) Programme.  The SCORE Programme demonstrates best international practice in the manufacturing and service sectors and helps SMEs to participate in global supply chains. in Asia, Africa and Latin America by improving working conditions and productivity.

Mr. Elkin also worked for 20 years at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) most recently as an Assistant District Director for the San Francisco District of the where he was responsible for all management training and consulting programs in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley region.  He also coordinated the SBA’s export promotion programmes for the Western Pacific Region including Arizona, California, Nevada and Hawaii.

Mr. Elkin has a Masters in Business Administration from California State University, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Economics from San Francisco State University.  Mr. Elkin lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Judy Tian

Auditing leader

Ms. Judy Tian has more than 25-years’ extensive experience in supply chain management. As the auditing leader, she mainly focuses on CSR auditing, C-TPAT audits, Technical audits and Environment audits; capacity building for companies implementing CSR. She is credited with developing and implementing programs for domestic suppliers that achieved long-term compliance and capacity building. Judy has sound technical knowledge in auditing; environment, health and safety; waste management and CSR solutions for supply chain. 

Prior to joining NEWAsia Solutions in 2019 as a Compliance Associate, Judy was an Assistant Manager in vendor compliance sustainability department in Li & Fung Trading Service Shanghai Company Qingdao branch office, where she was primarily responsible for factory evaluation, training, internal company project coordination and implementation, as well as Qingdao vendor compliance sustainability team management and coordination.

Judy holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Shandong University and an Associate Degree in Water Supply and Drainage Engineering from Tongji University. She is a certified Higg Index trainer (FEM 2.0 and 3.0), a certified Higg FEM Verifier, Higg FEM Chemical Specialist, and an SLCP Verifier. Judy is also an APSCA Certified Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA).

Amen Wang

Project leader

As a project leader, Amen has nearly 15 years experience in ESG and has very rich experience in corporate safety operation, risk assessment, environmental protection and CSR management. He currently leads the operations in social responsibility assessments, electrical and fire audits, tailor-made compliance consulting, CITI/CATI/PRTR projects, FEM SLCP technical support, environmental compliance monitoring and remediation, global ESG regulations update, etc.

In addition to his areas of responsibility, Amen has expertise in domestic labor, environmental health and safety laws, regulations, and standards, and he is skilled in GHG accounting, verification, trend analysis of energy consumption data, and compliance consulting services across the supply chain.

Amen graduated from Nanjing University and his majority is Human Resources Management and is also an APSCA Associate Social Compliance Auditor (ASCA).

Lenzile Gumbi

Innovation Leader

At NEWAsia, Lenzile is a Civil and Structural Engineer specializing in structural safety assessments and compliance across industrial manufacturing facilities within global supply chains. He conducts on-site inspections, evaluates structural systems and load-bearing capacity, identifies defects and deterioration, and prepares technical reports and remediation recommendations. His work includes structural analysis, load assessment, and engineering judgement to ensure building safety and compliance.

He has extensive experience in CLS, LABS, and DEA assessments under the International Accord framework, using structural modelling, load analysis, and Non-Destructive Testing methods (ultrasonic, infrared thermography, GPR), with proficiency in ETABS and SAP2000.

He also supports ESG and sustainability initiatives, including S&P Global CSA submissions, Scope 1–3 carbon accounting, MCAP modelling, and supply chain ESG data validation across Worldly, SLCP, FEM, CLS, SMETA, and FDM platforms, as well as development of ESG data systems and reporting tools.

Lenzile holds a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering.

Jaime Wang

CLS leader

Jaime Wang is primarily responsible for the Critical Life Safety segment, with a focus on three core areas—fire safety, structural safety, and electrical safety—conducting on-site inspections and preparing subsequent reports.

In terms of fire safety, the key tasks include functional verification of fire protection facilities, inspection of safe evacuation systems, and control of fire risk sources. For structural safety, Jaime takes the lead in identifying potential hazards in the main building structure and auxiliary structures, as well as verifying the compliance of structural modifications.

Regarding electrical safety, inspections are conducted centered on the compliance of electrical circuits, the safety of electrical equipment, and the standardization of electrical management. He is an APSCA Certified Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA).

Emma Tran

Vietnam representative

Emma Tran is the Vietnam Representative, with a major in English and fluency in both English and Chinese. She previously worked as an internal auditor in a dyeing factory, where she gained strong experience in compliance, operational evaluation, and process oversight.
