As authorized by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in July 2019, NEWAsia Solutions Limited (NEWAsia) supported to translate the Trainer’s Guide on Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) Promotional Training from English to Chinese to better promote SCORE project in China.
According to the SCORE project work plan, the ILO SCORE project promotional workshop was held on 17-18 September 2019 in Guangzhou, China. The workshop aimed to introduce and promote SCORE Training, and to make suggestions for a strategic development plan of future project promotion. Ms. Amanda Xu, Operations Director of NEWAsia, was invited to share her insights of how to effectively develop and deliver a strategy to promote SCORE Training to SMEs, partners and sponsors, as well as how to tailor their promotional approaches, drawing attention to the differing benefits that SCORE training can bring to different organisations.
SCORE Training for enterprises has proved itself to be a valuable tool for upgrading productivity, efficiency, working conditions and workplace cooperation in small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) around the world. It not only brings immediate and tangible improvements to SME workplaces, but also creates momentum that drives a lasting, positive change in workplace and management practices. Many unique aspects of the Training contribute to this success: the joint worker-manager training, emphasis on workplace cooperation, the quality of SCORE trainers and the importance placed on measuring—and recording evidence of—clear improvements.
This trainer’s guide is a guide on how to facilitate a SCORE promotional training workshop in so that participants are able to promote the ILO SCORE training. It provides information and instructions on how to use the SCORE promotional training materials and deliver the workshop in a fun, interactive, and inspiring way in the classroom. Encourage and enable all involved to promote SCORE training in a systematic and efficient way, so that they can attract SMEs and funders to invest in the training.
