NEWAsia has launched an Energy- Water Conservation Project to help brands and suppliers improve energy and water efficiency, establish a “Clean and Green” marketplace presence. We employ energy and water use audits to assess the plant's current energy performance and identify energy-efficient and water-saving opportunities, and enhance energy and water use and management through capacity building project.
As a key part of the project, a three-day workshop on Strategic Suppliers Energy Manager Training was conducted on June 24 through 26 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, China.

The three-day training was deemed to be highly interesting and useful by those in attendance. A total of 25 representatives from brands and suppliers attended the workshop. The participants concurrently discussed their own views on energy saving, major concerns of factory energy management were concluded:
- How to create and implement an effective energy management project in manufacturing sites
- What are good options for improving energy performance
- What are the principles and best practice for setting the energy baseline
- How to design an incentive mechanism
- How to improve employee’s awareness on energy saving
- How to develop and implement specific energy management trainings
- What are the core values and functions of energy professionals
- How to set and use water and power meters effectively
- How to prolong the service life of the motor and improve efficiency
- What are effective ways to save power
- How to reduce the vapor in steam, and what is the verification standard of steam quality
During the training, the participants also shared the best practices on energy saving. And action plan was developed.
